Our two-week trip to Egypt was fantastic! We got to
venture inside the Great Pyramid of Cheops, see the
enormous seated Ramses statues at Abu Simbel,
cruise the Nile on a felucca (sailboat), take a horse
and buggy ride through a crowded Egyptian market,
visit a Nubian village in Aswan, descend into King
Tut's tomb, and see the lovely temple complex of
Karnak as the sun was setting. Cruising up and down
the Nile between Luxor and Aswan was a real treat.
Smoking sheesha pipes and having baby crocodiles
placed on our heads were unexpected adventures.
