Where We Be
Breckenridge, Colorado
We finally got an offer on our home on September 9,
after four long months on the market. Of course, it was
the very evening before a planned trip to Breckenridge
with our wonderful neighbors Richard and Kristy. We
decided not to let the mere sale of a home get in the
way of a fun outing with friends, so we headed off as
planned.

During three delightful days, we strolled along
Breckenridge's picturesque main street, enjoying the
hanging flower baskets and quaint shops; went for a fun
autumn bike ride past palatial log homes overlooking a
mountain lake; and hiked up McCullough Gulch, one of
the premier hikes in the area. At the top of the gulch
was an austere glacial-fed lake where we had a picnic.
Richard and Kristy's little dog Harry did a fine job of
keeping up with us despite his small size.

On the less active side, we relaxed on the sunny back
patio of the house, drinking Sam Adams and kicking
back as the sun set. We played a variety of card and
board games in the evenings. It was a great little
getaway, and the perfect way to relax before the
onslaught of home-closing and packing soon to come.
