Where We Be

| Balkans Map & Itinerary |
Our Balkans trip began and ended in Bucharest,
Romania (after flying in from Denver). Our goal
was to see eleven countries over the course of
forty days. We had only been to one of those
countries before -- Croatia -- and only for one
day as part of a Mediterranean cruise. Other-
wise, all of this represented new territory for
us. We used a combo of regional flights and
buses to get around (trains were limited). The
overall itinerary for our trip was as follows:
1) Bucharest, Romania (3 days)
2) Chisinau, Moldova (2 days)
3) Belgrade, Serbia (3 days)
4) Sofia, Bulgaria (4 days)
5) Skopje, North Macedonia (3 days)
6) Prizren, Kosovo (3 days)
7) Shkoder, Albania (3 days)
8) Kotor, Montenegro (3 days)
9) Dubrovnik, Croatia (3 days)
10) Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina (3 days)
11) Ljubljana, Slovenia (3 days)
12) Lake Bled, Slovenia (3 days)
13) Brasov (Transylvania), Romania (4 days)
