Boulder, Colorado -- Summer
Wow, what an incredibly busy two months in
Boulder! First and foremost, we got to spend lots
of time with our friends, reconnecting after a long
time away. We also reconnected with the great
Boulder scenery, going on a number of local
hikes and bike rides.

On the practical side, we sold our 1993 Vandura
Van and our 1993 Geo Storm and purchased a
much newer and more gas-efficient 2005 Toyota
Matrix. We also sold all the remaining furniture in
our storage unit and moved the remaining items
(mostly boxes) to a smaller 5x10 unit. Trust me
when I say this was a big chore. We changed our
mailing address and worked towards changing
our residency to Madison, South Dakota.

We found a great apartment in South Boulder to
call home for these two summer months. We
found it through Craigslist and sublet it at a
reduced price from two grad students. I also
bought an inexpensive mountain bike on
Craigslist and used it to explore the local Boulder
bike paths (wonderful!). During the hottest
summer days, I swam in the pool at our apartment
complex. In the evenings we reveled  in Mexican,
Thai, and Indian food, watched the Beijing
Olympics, and hung out with friends.
