Where We Be
Miami, Florida -- Vacation Condo
|
By happy coincidence, our wonderful friends
Richard & Kristy (our next-door neighbors for many a
year in Colorado) happened to rent a condo for the
month of January near Miami during the same time
we were visiting there. They invited us to stay with
them and we were more than happy to accept. We
spent three days with them at their studio apartment
rental in Sunny Isles Beach. The apartment was quite
tiny, with just one room and a small bathroom, so it's
a good thing we all get along well. You couldn't beat
the location, literally right on the beach.
The first day was the hottest and sunniest. We swam
in the ocean (well, me, anyway) and enjoyed the cool
swimming pool. R&K made tasty fajitas for dinner
that night, and we played gin rummy afterwards, one
of our favorite shared activities. We also visited
famous South Beach together, with its numerous
boutiques, restaurants, night clubs, and hotels.
These true friends drove us on various and sundry
last-minute errands as we got ready for our big trip
to Argentina and Chile, and even drove us to the
Miami Airport. Thanks so much you two!
